Weddings are often defined by tradition, age old beliefs and what we have seen in movies. The bride needs to walk down the aisle and a father gives away his daughter.  Ceremony first, reception after. White dress, high heels, tux and rings. The list is endless. And though I love a big white wedding, full of tradition - I especially love working with couples who like to do things a little bit differently. Whether you want to get hitched up a mountain as sunrise climbs over the horizon, or include a wedding ritual that ropes in all your guests, I will help you to create a wedding ceremony that is personal, authentic and truly reflects your love story. It’s your day to commit to each other for the rest of your lives so let’s do it your way!

In 2016, my husband Murat and I got married  - twice in fact! We said "I do" at a shearing shed in Phillip Island, in front of our closest friends and family and then again in Turkey across two days of dancing, eating and Turkish rituals. I wanted the day to embrace both our cultures and backgrounds, much of what makes us who we are as individuals and who we are as a couple. Our vows were read in a mix of Turkish and English and we had baklava for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why? Because that was a reflection of who we are. That, and because I really like baklava. 

We'll be a perfect fit if you just want to have fun, celebrate, and create a ceremony together that is unique and embraces your love story. In return, as your celebrant, I will be your guide to your wedding ceremony, giving you plenty of options, completing all your paperwork and opening your mind on the things we can do to make your ceremony unique as you. From beginning to end your ceremony will be exactly that – yours. Written from scratch, no cliché readings or ‘We are gathered here todays’.

You will have the peace of mind knowing that everything will be legally in order, presented with warmth and love with professional equipment. I will ensure our i’s are dotted and t’s crossed, so on your big day you can just relax and enjoy the moment!
